Learn MoreTROY, Mich., August 3, 2020 – Woodbridge, a global systems solution provider of fully integrated foam products, is named a finalist for a 2020 Altair Enlighten Award for its Stratas™ Load Floor. The Altair Enlighten Award honors the greatest achievements in vehicle weight savings each year.
Woodbridge’s Stratas Load Floor is manufactured from an innovative composite technology formulation using a high-modulus polyurethane core combined with a layered skin design of fiberglass and high-melt temperature adhesives. The composite panels reduce overall mass in the cargo system when compared to similar systems currently in the market. The technology recognized was launched on the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder and Infiniti QX60.
“Being named a finalist of the Altair Enlighten Award is a testament to Woodbridge’s expertise in lightweight solutions. I am extremely proud of our team, as this is the first time we have entered and been named a finalist for the Enlighten Award,” said Mike Fritts, President, Customer & Product Experience. “We continue to see an increase in demand to make vehicles lighter, and this trend creates a unique opportunity for us to leverage our research and development capabilities to position us as a preferred partner to help OEMs through this automotive industry evolution.”
Woodbridge is one of 23 companies that were selected as finalists. Winners are determined by an independent panel of judges and will be announced at the CAR Management Briefing Seminars on August 4, 2020.
