At the conclusion of fiscal year 2019, the company established a new “Best Rate Achieved in Woodbridge History” on its global Incident Rate, finishing the year with an Incident Rate of 1.25 versus the established goal of 1.30. 

Our HSE management system is the basis for injury and illness prevention. We have 30 corporate standards that drive prevention initiatives, safe and environmentally-responsible work practices and continual improvement in our plants.

Frequency Rate

Frequency Rate is the number of injuries orillnesses requiring medical care and involving lost days from work beyond theday of the accident x 200,000 / the total hours worked by all teammates. 

Severity Rate

Severity Rate is the number of lostworkdays due to an injury or illness x 200,000 / the total hours worked by allteammates. 


Incident Rate

Incident Rate is the number of injuries orillnesses requiring external medical care, both with or without lost days, x200,000 / total hours worked by all teammates. 


Environment

The volume of waste that are being recycled and/or reused from the company operations improved slightly to 87.45% recycled/reused in 2019 versus 83.53% in 2018.

Waste Generated Per Unit Produced slightlyincreased in 2019 to 0.0502 kg/m versus 0.0486 kg/m of waste generated in 2018.

Overall total VOC emissions decreased from1.19 million kg in 2018 to 0.994 million kg in 2019.
