Headliner Composite
Stratas™ 3D conventional headliner composites features a polyurethane foam core formulation, fiberglass reinforcement, and high melt-temperature polymeric adhesives. Delivered as a substrate board, these composites achieve 500-800 gsm for light-weighting and 5-8 mm thickness for high sound absorption—outperforming all competing technologies.
This new product increases elongation by 50% over previous generation composites to offer greater design freedom with deeper draw, more complex shapes, and sharper angles without risking substrate tears or blowouts.
Our processing window has been significantly widened over the previous generation, helping to lower scrap rates and increase cycle times. In the latest environmental stability study comparing Stratas 3D to current production wet process polyurethane foam substrates, it was empirically proved Stratas 3D outperforms competing technologies.
